Welcome to Prairie People country!  We invite you to explore the area and experience our warm hospitality.  From the Mennonites who settled the area, to the cowboys who drove longhorn cattle north along the Chisholm Trail, to the Mexican railroad workers who laid the Sante Fe track.  Prairie People share a rich and diverse heritage. We'd like to share that heritage with you through our museums, attractions, delicious ethnic foods and lively celebrations; so relax and enjoy the Prairie People Region.
